Sinossi
Mentre cala la notte su Algeri, una donna sulla cinquantina, Louisa, appare all’uscita di una stazione ferroviaria del centro. Cammina affiggendo locandine di un ricercato e si tuffa, spettrale, nelle strade buie della città. Inizia così una lunga notte di vagabondaggio per le vie della capitale.
As night falls over Algiers, a woman in her fifties, Louisa, appears at the exit of a downtown train station. She walks puting up posters of a wanted man and dives, ghostly, into the dark streets of the city. And thus begins a long night of wandering through the streets of the capital.
Il Regista
Fayçal Hammoum è nato ad Algeri nel 1981. Dopo il diploma si trasferisce a Parigi per continuare gli studi, prima in Diritto poi in Cinematografia. Si diploma come assistente alla regia e al montaggio. Nel 2009 torna ad Algeri e entra nella società di produzione THALA FILMS. Da allora produce numerosi cortometraggi di fiction e due lungometraggi documentari. Nel 2011 e 2012 riceve il titolo di “Miglior produttore del mondo arabo” al Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Abu Dhabi. Come regista, nel 2014 realizza il documentario Vote Off e nel 2021 il cortometraggio Toute la Nuit.
Fayçal Hammoum was born in Algiers in 1981. After graduating he moved to Paris to continue his studies, first in Law and then Cinema. He graduated as assistant director and editor. In 2009 he returned to Algiers and joined the production company THALA FILMS. Since then he has produced numerous short fiction films and two feature-length documentary films. In 2011 and 2012 he received the title of “Best Producer in the Arab World” at the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival. As director, in 2017 he made the documentary Vote Off and in 2021 the short film Toute la Nuit.
