Tangente

Florie, una giovane madre che vive nella Reunion Island, partecipa alla “Diagonale des Fous” (la Diagonale dei Pazzi), una maratona estrema di fama mondiale. Per tre estenuanti giorni e notti, corre attraverso le montagne della sua isola, motivata a superare i propri limiti. Ma Florie non è un’atleta normale: deve sfidare anche i demoni del proprio passato.

Florie, a young mother living on Reunion Island, takes part in the ‘Diagonale des Fous’ (The Madman’s Diagonal), a world famous ultra-marathon race. For three gruelling days and nights, she runs across the mountains of her island, inspired to push herself to her limits. But Florie is no average runner: she must also face up to the demons of her past.

Rida Belghiat è un attore algerino e un regista. Risiede in Francia dal 2007. Educato alla Algeri National School of Drama, dal 2000 al 2007 ha fatto parte del Teatro Nazionale Algerino. Ha scoperto il cinema come attore, recitando in tre lungometraggi, e poi ha realizzato Tangente, presentato in anteprima a Cannes nel 2017.

Rida Belghiat is an Algerian actor, a director and a film maker. He has been residing in France since 2007. Educated at the Algiers National School of Drama, he joined in 2000 The Algerian National Theater till 2007. He discovered movies as an actor in three Feature-length movies and then he produced Tangente, previewed at Cannes 2017.

Julie Jouve, originaria de La Réunion, ha la passione della scrittura sin da quand’era ragazzina. È insegnante di francese da 15 anni in Francia e alla Réunion. Nel 2004 è entrata a far parte di una scuola canadese e ha studiato sceneggiatura. La sua prima sceneggiatura, Kwassa Kwassa, ha vinto lo Special Jury Honorous Oceans Award nel 2015. La seconda, Tangente, con cui ha vinto il premio Oceans 2016, è il suo primo lungometraggio come regista.

Julie Jouve, from La Réunion, she has been writing since her early childhood. She has been teaching French for 15 years in France and La Réunion. In 2004 she joined a Canadian School and trained in scripts. Her first screenplay Kwassa Kwassa gained the Special Jury Honorous Oceans Award 2015. Her second script Tangente – Prizewinner of the Oceans Award 2016 – is her first filmmaking.
