La quotidianità e le parole di tre giovani donne musulmane fanno luce sui pregiudizi e gli stereotipi che ostacolano la comprensione di un mondo poliedrico: l’Islam.
Sumaya (blogger, prima musulmana eletta Consigliere al Comune di Milano), Takoua (romana, autrice di fumetti e graphic novel), e Batul (medico psichiatra di Trento), affrontano i temi che da anni infiammano il dibattito sulle relazioni tra il mondo musulmano e quello occidentale, a partire dall’incerto esito delle Primavere Arabe, fino al crescente sentimento islamofobo.
Everyday life and the words of three young Muslim women shed light on the prejudices and stereotypes that hinder the understanding of a multifaceted world: Islam.Sumaya (blogger, first Muslim elected City Councilor of Milan), Takoua (Roman, author of comics and graphic novel), and Batul (doctor psychiatrist in Trento), address the issues that for years have ignited the debate on relations between the Muslim world and the western one, starting from the uncertain outcome of the Arab Springs, to the growing Islamophobic sentiment.
La Regista
Luisa Porrino consegue nel 2000 il diploma di laurea in Fine Art al Southgate Greater College di Londra. Nello stesso anno partecipa a uno stage presso il London Photographers Studios e consegue un master in regia cinetelevisiva presso l’Istituto Fellini di Torino. Nel 2002 si trasferisce a Roma e lavora nei reparti regia di film, fiction tv e pubblicità tra cui lo spot Telecom Gandhi di Spike Lee.
Dal 2006 scrive e dirige alcuni cortometraggi, curandone gli aspetti produttivi e finanziari.
Nel 2007 inizia la sua esperienza nel settore di produzione, come assistant producer prima, quindi come line producer per lungometraggi di coproduzione internazionale. Nel 2010 costituisce la casa di produzioni cinematografiche Fargo Entertainment Srl, producendo webserie per FlopTV (canale di Fox International Channels) e alcuni cortometraggi.
Nel 2017 esce nelle sale Porto il Velo, Adoro i Queen, il suo primo lungometraggio.
Luisa Porrino obtained her Fine Arts degree in 2000 at Southgate Greater College, London. In the same year he took part in an internship at the London Photographers Studios and obtained a master’s degree in film and television direction at the Istituto Fellini in Turin. In 2002 he moved to Rome and worked in the directing departments of film, TV drama and advertising such as Spike Lee’s Telecom Gandhi commercial.
From 2006 she writes and directs some short films, taking care of the production and financial aspects.
In 2007 she began her experience in the production sector, as assistant producer first, then as a line producer for international coproduction feature films.
In 2010 Luisa Porrino founded the film production company Fargo Entertainment Srl, producing webseries for FlopTV (Fox channel International Channels) and some short films.
In 2016, her first feature film Porto il Velo, Adoro i Queen was released in the halls.
