Sinossi
Rosie è una ragazza congolese da poco arrivata a Londra per vivere con la famiglia della sorella maggiore e prendersi cura del nipote. Scopre con prepotenza la durezza della vita londinese quando un malinteso con due lavavetri intrusi si trasforma in un litigio.
Rosie, a Congolese teenager, who’s recently arrived in London, discovers the unwelcoming side of life in Britain when a misunderstanding with two window cleaners escalates into conflict.
Il Regista
Beru Tessema è uno scrittore e regista etiope-britannico che risiede a Londra. Si è laureato alla London Film School e alla Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Lo spettacolo teatrale di Beru, Exile in North Weezy, è stato selezionato per il Papatango Playwriting Prize 2020 e il suo ultimo spettacolo, House of Ife, è stato presentato al Bush Theatre con brillanti recensioni.
Ha fatto il suo debutto professionale come sceneggiatore nel 2017 quando ha co-scritto il film Barley Fields on the other side of the mountain.
Oltre a lavorare per il teatro e per il cinema, Beru insegna recitazione alla Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Beru Tessema is an Ethiopian- British writer and director based in London. He is a graduate of the London Film School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Beru’s stage play, Exile in North Weezy, was shortlisted for the Papatango Playwriting Prize 2020 and his latest play, House of Ife, premiered at the Bush Theatre to brilliant reviews.
He made his professional debut as a screenwriter in 2017 when he co-wrote the feature film Barley Fields on the other side of the mountain.
As well as making work for stage and screen, Beru teaches Acting Technique and Screen Acting at Rada.
