jmar alchahwa جمر الشهوة: tizzone ardente. Si usa questo termine metaforicamente per descrivere un sentimento che dà calore e piacere ma può ferire se ci si coinvolge troppo.
Sulla spiaggia di una cittadina del Marocco, Khaled vende passeggiate a cavallo ai turisti. Gli amici con cui esce hanno tutti circa vent’anni e fantasticano su una sessualità che è loro proibita. Un giorno Khaled fa un incontro e si ritrova intrappolato tra la realtà del suo mondo e un desiderio ardente che non può controllare.

On the beach of Mohammedia, a small coastal town in Morocco, Khaled sells horse rides to passers-by. He hangs out with his friends, they are in their twenties and fantasize about a sexuality that is forbidden to them. That day, Khaled makes an encounter and finds himself caught between the reality of his world and a burning desire that he can’t control.

Samy Sidali è nato nel 1989 nell’Haut de Seine (Francia) da genitori marocchini. A 18 anni si trasferisce a Londra dove studia cinema all’University of the Arts London e dove si laurea nel 2013. Lavora due anni per l’agenzia creativa londinese BAMM come regista di film istituzionali e documentari, molti dei quali all’estero. Nel 2020, Samy realizza il suo primo cortometraggio: Jmar. Attualmente sviluppa diversi progetti in Francia e in Marocco, sia di fiction che documentari.
Samy Sidali was born in 1989 to Moroccan parents. At the age of 18, he moved to London where he studied cinema at the University of the Arts London, from which he graduated in 2013. He worked for 2 years for the London creative agency BAMM as a director of institutional films and documentaries, most often abroad. In 2020, Samy directed his first short film: Jmar. He is currently developing several projects in France and Morocco, fiction and documentary.
