Karim Benhadj nasce a Roma nel 1986. Esordisce come attore all’età di 12 anni con il film Mirka di Rachid Benhadj, con il quale ottiene il Globo d’Oro 1998 come miglior attore esordiente. É operatore nel film Profumi d’Algeri (2008) e direttore alla fotografia del documentario Aspettando il maestro (2014). Nel 2016 realizza il suo primo film Il canto delle onde, selezionato allo UK Screen One International Film Festival e al Vues d’Afrique di Montréal.
Karim Benhadj was born in Rome in 1986. He started acting as an actor at the age of 12 with Rachid Benhadj’s film Mirka, for which he received the Golden Globe in 1998 as the best debuting actor. He was camera operator in the film Profumi d’Algeri (2008) and director of photography for Aspettando il maestro, a documentary produced in 2014. In 2016 he made his first movie Il canto delle onde, selected at the UK Screen One International Film Festival and at the Vues of Afrique in Montreal.
