Icyasha (Etichette) è la storia di un ragazzo di dodici anni, appassionato di calcio, che cerca disperatamente di entrare a far parte di una piccola squadra di quartiere. Il suo aspetto effeminato lo danneggia. Parecchie volte viene schernito e fatto oggetto di bullismo. Si ritrova in un ambiente in cui deve dimostrare e rivendicare la propria mascolinità. È una storia che fa riflettere sul dolore e sulla bellezza dell’infanzia.
Icyasha follows a twelve years old boy and football lover who tries desperately to join a neighborhood boys‘ team. His effeminate character disqualifies him. He gets denigrated and bullied several times. He finds himself confronted to a world where he has to prove and claim his masculinity. It is a story that simultaneously discusses the pain and beauty of childhood.

Marie Clementine Dusabejambo è una regista e sceneggiatrice rwandese, autodidatta, con una formazione in Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni. Ha realizzato 4 cortometraggi che hanno partecipato a numerosi festival cinematografici in tutto il mondo e hanno vinto parecchi premi: Lyiza si è aggiudicato il Tanit di Bronzo al JCC 2012 e il Premio Cinit al Festival di Milano 2012, Behind the word il Premio della Giuria al Bordeaux CineSud Festival 2014, A Place for Myself ha vinto il Premio Ousmane Sembene, il Premio Signis e il Golden Dhow allo Zanzibar Festival ZIFF 2016, il Tanit di Bronzo JCC 2016 e il Premio Speciale THOMAS SANKARA al FESPACO 2017, mentre Icyasha ha avuto il Golden Zebra al RFC 2019.
Marie Clementine Dusabejambo is a self-taught Rwandan director and screenwriter with a background in Electronics and Telecommunications. He has made 4 short films that have participated in numerous film festivals around the world and have won several awards: Lyiza won the Tanit of Bronze at JCC 2012 and the Cinit Award at the Milan Festival 2012, Behind the word the Jury Award at the Bordeaux CineSud Festival 2014, A Place for Myself won the Ousmane Sembene Award, the Signs Award and the Golden Dhow at the Zanzibar Festival ZIFF 2016, the Tanit of Bronze at JCC 2016 and the THOMAS SANKARA Special Award at FESPACO 2017, while Icyasha had the Golden Zebra at RFC 2019.
