Hakkunde

“Hakkunde” è l’intrigante storia di Akande, un giovane laureato che lotta contro tutto e tutti: l’amore, la famiglia, la discriminazione, l’abuso di droghe, la tradizione, l’insicurezza. Il suo è un viaggio alla scoperta di sé e del mondo che lo circonda. La storia è caratterizzata da azioni e reazioni che raccontano la società nigeriana contemporanea, con i suoi chiaroscuri. Akande, mentre cerca un lavoro e una vita migliore, trova interamente se stesso.

“Hakkunde”(In-Between) is an intriguing story of a young graduate, Akande, who battles everything including love, family, discrimination, drug abuse, tradition and insecurity. It follows his journey to selfdiscovery and actualization. The story is characterized by actions and  reactions that defines the everyday Nigerian society, with its ups and down.  Akande, while searching for a job, and a better life, finds himself in totality.

Il Regista

Asurf Oluseyi è un cineasta autodidatta di Lagos, Nigeria, che ha ottenuto molti riconoscimenti internazionali. È stato inserito nella Google Digital Skills for Africa, come esempio per i giovani africani che attraverso l’uso di Internet acquisiscono competenze e impostano il proprio futuro lavorativo. Egli infatti si è formato in “Art of Filmaking and Editing” e ha costituito con successo “Asurf Films”, una delle maggiori case di produzione indipendenti della Nigeria. Hakkunde è il suo primo lungometraggio e attualmente sta lavorando al suo secondo film dal titolo Kasanova.

Asurf Oluseyi is self taught award-winning film-maker from Lagos, Nigeria. He was featured on Google African Connected Campaign which run across Africa in 2013 as an inspiration to young Africans taking advantage of internet in learning their skills and building careers for themselves. He has trained over many individuals on the “Art of Filmaking and Editing” and has successfully build one of the biggest independent production company in Nigeria, “Asurf Films”. Hakkunde is his first solo feature film and he is currently working to a new longmeters titled Kasanova.
