Sinossi
Al confine tra Marocco e Spagna, aspettiamo con impazienza la “boza”, il rischioso superamento del confine che ci consentirà di giungere in Europa. Viviamo un fallimento dopo l’altro ma ce la caviamo, e io, l'”artista”, devo mantenere accesa la fiamma della speranza per tutto il gruppo. Una macchina fotografica e un paio di canzoni: ecco come abbiamo realizzato questo film.
On the border between Morocco and Spain, we wait impatiently for the “boza” – to cross to Europe. One failed attempt after another, we survive, and I, the “Artist”, must keep the flame of hope alive for the whole group. A camera and a couple of songs, that is how we made this film.
Il regista
David Bingong è nato nel 1988 a Douala, nel Camerun. Grande appassionato del palcoscenico, prende parte a spettacoli teatrali sia come regista che come attore. Ora vive a Madrid, dove ha completato Les Voyageurs, girato tra il 2013 e il 2015 mentre viaggiava attraverso l’Africa diretto in Europa. Les Voyageurs è il suo primo film e gli è valso il Premio Speciale della Giuria al Visions du Réel Film Festival (Miglior mediometraggio, Concorso Internazionale di medio-cortometraggi).
Director
David Bingong was born in 1988 in Douala, Cameroon. A great enthusiast of the stage, he takes part in theatrical performances as a director and actor. He now lives in Madrid, where he completed Les Voyageurs, filmed between 2013 and 2015 while travelling through Africa on his way to Europe. Les Voyageurs is his first feature film and was awarded the Special Jury Prize at Visions du Réel Film Festival (Special Jury Award, Best medium-length film, International Competition for medium-length and short films).
